KATHRYN F. ROTONDI

For nearly a decade, Kathryn Rotondi of KFR Design has been designing interiors for an international roster of discerning clients, with projects landing from the finest streets of Los Angeles, to New York, Miami, and Europe . With projects like Carcassonne, Mapleton and The One—the world’s largest home with a record breaking 105,000 square feet of living space and a $150 million price tag, under her belt, this unabashedly talented designer is recognized worldwide.

Born and raised in Los Angeles with a strong architecture and design pedigree—her father a professional builder and her uncle a world-renowned architect and founder of SCI-Arc—Kathryn grew up with an affinity for fine furniture and glamorous homes.

In 2014, Kathryn launched KFR Design, a design practice specializing in making luxury properties “designed to sell." As sole proprietor and principal designer of the firm, Kathryn manages the interior design process from conception to finalized installation, drawing upon her expertise in residential development and her contemporary design ethos. With luxurious layers and a flair for the unexpected, KFR’s approach to design ensures that finished projects are not just beautiful, but are filled with brag-worthy functional spaces that feel uniquely personal.

Prior to KFR Design, Kathryn developed her innate design eye under the tutelage of two of the most influential and respected designers in the US; Michael Smith and Waldo Fernandez. She then worked for FENDI Casa of Luxury Living Group where she excelled as a leading designer for over five years.

KFR Design's work has been featured in publications including Architectural Digest, Variety, Vogue Australia, People, Modern Luxury publications, House Beautiful, and Los Angeles magazine.

Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Nevada Las Vegas and graduate certification from the Interior Design and Architecture program at the University of California at Los Angeles.

Kathryn currently works and resides in Los Angeles, which she is proud to call her eternal home.
